Even though spring break went by like a blur, it was still nice go spend time with family and old friends. Now, its back to school and a brand new quarter.

Back Home
For spring break I went back home to Norcal and ate at my grandparent's house. My grandma made garlic shrimp, mixed vegetables, and marinated slow cooked pork. It feels good to eat at home again!!

Quick Bites
Ghetto looking place called Creme Pan was suppose to have amazing pastries. I went there to try them. Were they amazing? Not really. But it was above average I suppoooseee. This was called a Yakisoba Sandwich; which was basically chinese noodles stuffed in bread. It was only 2 dollars but it wasn't that great.
melon puff or something like that
their famous starwberry crossants: yummy!!! it had a lot of creme in it and the crossant melted in my mouth. I'd come back just to eat this.
This is from the food court Sobahn Expres Korean Cuisine next to H-Mart. This is bulgogi bibimbap. You get realllly full from these but I think it only tastes good if you add a shitload of that red sauce to it.
Japchae- clear vermecelli noodles with bibimbap stuff on top. Its a good alternative to rice because they put a special sauce in it to make it taste yum.

I seriously need to find more places to eat at at late hours of the night! wahhh.

Fun with food
I went to Brian's work on his day off. HAHA. The chef recognized him and said: "So you came to work on your day off?" lol. Ate teppanyaki for lunch. I ordered scallops and new york steak, and he ordered filet mignon and shrimp. Our chef was really nice and the waitresses too.
While cooking everything, he stacked up some onions and poured something in there to make it light up like that. Pretty entertaining.
Fiest after Winter Quarter Finals
Sweet Tooth
Roomie Melanie and I decided to attempt to make creme brulee one day after school. It acutally worked! The ramekin is spotted because the sugar got burned after I put it in the oven. Hopefully next time it comes out cleaner and prettier. But it tasted good! Not bad for our first time.
Sage Restaurant: a disappointment
Me, Michael, and Angela went to Sage Restaurant in Irvine for restaurant week. We had high expectations. Too bad the food was just...alright.
started out with complimentary fruit
and bread
I got the farmers market avacado salad, lots of grapefruit and orange on 2 pieces of lettuce.
Michael got the BBQ pizza, can't really go wrong with BBQ pizza right? WRONG. tasted like bread drenched in white wine. Really not good. I couldn't taste BBQ at all...all I tasted was white wine. So sad.
That one day we decided to eat a lot
This was a random tuesday or wednesday during the quarter where me and brian decided to make a lot of food. This is what resulted. And NO, it wasn't just me and brian eating. Angela and Theresa also participated, sort of. heeehee.
Melanie made me yummy smoked salmon pasta from scratch!! thanks melanie!

Eating Crepes on a Sunny Day
Went to another Restaurant Week restaurant called Lulu's Creperie Cafe in Laguna Hills. Really cozy and cute French place. After the meal we were SUPER full! and guess what...only ten bucks! I want to go back and try their breakfast omelettes.
Caesar salad
French onion soup
La Francaise Crepe- Chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, and mushrooms
it was really big and pretty good but a little heavy on the cream. It was basically swimming in sauce.
Strawberries and Nutella Crepe- SO good! too bad I was too full to enjoy it fully.

Wish I was 21 already
Went to this restaurant called K'ya Rooftop Lounge in Laguna Beach for OC Restaurant Week. It's located inside the La Casa Del Camino hotel so you wouldn't really know about it since theres no sign. Only $10 for a 3 course meal! Only for Restaurant Week though. When we first got there, no one bothered helping us. Service: sucked. All the waitresses seemed too busy to care. We had to wait for seats, but after 20 minutes of waiting we decided to just sit on a side table instead of a real table so we could actually start ordering food. Then we waited some more for a waitress to realize we didn't order yet. Pros: the VIEW. spectacular!!! It was a nice, not too hot but nice and sunny friday, and the restaurant overlooked the ocean and you could hear the waves and watch the water sparkling while you ate. Ideal of romantic dates! hint hint. haha. I saw so many people sip on drinks it made me reallly want to be 21 so I could get one too!
anyways, this is what we ate:

Mixed Greens-Roma tomatoes with an herb vinaigrette dressing

Shrimp Club Sandwich

Hibachi Salmon

Fresh Berries with Godiva Chocolate Liqueur
